9. International Visitors, Including UK and European Visitors
Home Pick is based in the United States. Information submitted through the website may be processed or stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
UK and EEA Visitors
Where UK or European Economic Area (EEA) data protection law applies, we process information on an applicable legal basis: steps you request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and protecting our website; compliance with legal obligations; or consent, including for optional analytics where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also object to direct marketing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.
You have the right to complain to a competent data protection regulator. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). In the EEA, you may contact the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact Home Pick first to exercise this right.
Protection of Data Transferred to the United States
We apply the security measures described in this Policy to personal information processed in the United States. Where a transfer is subject to UK or EEA international-transfer requirements, an applicable lawful transfer mechanism is also required; security measures alone do not replace that requirement.
When personal information protected by UK or EEA data protection law is transferred to the United States or another country outside the UK or EEA, an applicable lawful transfer mechanism is used where required. Depending on the provider and service involved, this may include an applicable adequacy decision, participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension, European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum.
Home Pick's current service providers publish international-transfer arrangements that include one or more of these mechanisms. The mechanism applicable to a particular transfer depends on the provider, service, recipient entity, and governing agreement. For more information about the safeguards applicable to your personal information, or to request a copy where available, contact sales@homepick.us.
